About

Born and raised in Encinitas, California, a small beach town, I love the sunshine and all things water. I did the “usual” things – went to high school, graduated, and off to college I went. Joined a sorority, lived in a fraternity, picked up a few degrees, and caused some trouble for my parents. After experiencing depression myself and realizing that medications do not work for everyone, I ventured out to find a different way. I researched everything I could about neurotransmitters, food as medicine, and other mental health modalities. You name it, I read it. Thus, inspiring me to become a certified nutrition consultant and personal trainer. I use a variety of modalities including therapy, changing my mindset, nutrition, bio-hacking methods, essential oils, and exercising.

My journey has taken me to realize physical, mental, emotional, and spirituality are all aspects of health. We need all to have all, they work in harmony. Therefore, I am a firm believer in using food as medicine and influencing our genes.

I have since moved to Arizona, continuing to advocate for health and well-being. We must walk through our emotions while giving ourselves grace and allowing for the dualities of life. I also volunteer for Survivors of Suicide (SOS) to support those who have a suicide loss.

While there are parts of my story that are sad and traumatizing, I embrace the collateral beauty of each part of my tale. It’s the collateral beauty that brings me joy and hope in the midst of pain.

This is the mission of this website – creating a community and coming together over the beauty of journeys, including the joy, pain, hopefulness, sadness, awe, anger, fulfilled, grief, serenity, sorrow, and excitement of life. It is my hope that through my story, you find your own collateral beauty.
